The cover to Snafu is a computer-generated "Fractal".   It reminds me of a parrot, in a pirate hat, who has opened some kind of precious jeweled container, only to find it empty of the real, treasure.   Hence, that colorful WWII acronym, for a name.

You are going to have to do an internet search to get you own take, on what, exactly, a fractal is--but I believe each one is a unique "answer" to a mathematical equation, or a series of them, displayed as a color graphic. Better yet, get your own fractal generator, at www.apophysis.org   [They may still be still free]
